Assalamu alaikum warahmatulaahi wabarakaatuh.
 
There are around 124.000 prophets and messengers in total. The Quran mentions only 25 of these. Sahaba are the companions of the prophet Muhammad . Their stories are important as they lived at the same time as the prophet and spent time with him, believed in him and did great things.
